Over the past years community members have voiced interest in and a desire for community spaces, new businesses, affordable housing, new recreational resources, improvements in utilities, and the preservation of historical structures. The Greensboro Community Trust was transformed from the Bend Revitalization Initiative to support the community in this endeavor by managing and funding projects which improve the social and economic conditions of our Greater Greensboro Community. The Trust and its success depends on community input to help determine pressing needs and prioritize ideas.

As part of the inaugural cohort of Village Trust Initiative Participants, we look forward to building capacity within our community to support this vision. The Village Trust Initiative is a program made possible by a partnership of the Preservation Trust of Vermont, the Vermont Council on Rural Development, and the Vermont Community Foundation.

Our first project is reimagining and revitalizing the Former Methodist Church in the Bend! As we work to define the final use of this building and fund its renovation, we hope you will support our efforts, give us feedback and get involved!
